Chocolate Fountain Operating Instructions:

The Chocolate Fountain is not suitable for outdoor use!

Set Up

Place chocolate fountain on level, sturdy table. With the use of a level, use the adjustable feet to level the chocolate fountain. Do NOT place chocolate fountain under fans or in open doorways. The fountain should be placed so the cord is not a hazard.

To Preheat The Fountain

Turn the power on. The fountain will preheat itself automatically. Do NOT touch the bowl of the fountain as you may burn yourself. The fountain will take approximately 15 minutes to preheat.

We recommend heating the individual layers of the chocolate fountain with a hairdryer prior to filling the fountain – this will avoid the chocolate sticking to the layers and will result in a smoother flow.

Melting/Heating Chocolate

IMPORTANT:

DO NOT PLACE THE CHOCOLATE IN THE MICROWAVE, ON A STOVE OR GAS TOP, OR IN THE FRIDGE – THIS WILL RUIN THE CHOCOLATE

  • Place a small amount of chocolate into a large pot.

  • Place the pot into a sink containing hot water. Stir the chocolate until melted.

  • Add additional chocolate and stir until melted.

  • Continue this process until all the chocolate is melted.

  • If desired, you can add approximately 300ml of oil to the chocolate. This will make the chocolate flow nicer and glisten when flowing.

Filling The Fountain

Fill the bowl of the chocolate fountain with the melted warm chocolate. Located on the back of the machine is the operating system.  Push the on/off button to turn the machine on. This will start the auger and the chocolate will flow up the auger and down over the layers. Do not touch the buttons to the left or right of the on/off button. You may need to turn the on/off button to “off” after the machine has been running to remove air bubbles. Count to 30 and turn the machine back on. It may be necessary to repeat this process during the course of the night. To top up the chocolate in the machine, turn the auger off, refill the bowl and turn the machine back on.

IMPORTANT:

DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF FOOD THAT IS CRUMBLY AS THIS WILL CLOG THE MACHINE AND THE CHOCOLATE WILL NOT FLOW.

Disassemble

Ensure that the machine is turned off when you have finished.

If you leave the machine on overnight, you could damage the machine and you will be responsible for the replacement/repair of the machine.

It is your choice if you would like to keep any left-over or excess chocolate. This can be stored in the fridge for use in desserts, etc.

The chocolate fountain needs to be cleaned of all excess chocolate. This does not require any steel wool or other scourer. Warm/hot water and a bit of detergent will be sufficient. Do NOT use anything that will scratch the machine. Put the components back into its packaging as it was packed when you got it.

The hirer is responsible for the Chocolate Fountain from the time of Delivery/Pick-up until tested on return.

Jazz Jukebox Operating Instructions

Set Up

The top half of the Jukebox contains the ‘computer’. The base holds the speakers and built in lights.

Place the ‘top’ half of the Jukebox onto the ‘bottom’ half of the Jukebox (speaker).

Ensure that the two halves are sitting correctly. Clip the two halves together.

At the back, plug in the speaker cord. It will ‘click’ when inserted correctly.

Basic Operating Instructions

Once the Jukebox has been assembled ensure that:

  • Jukebox is placed on solid floor, undercover and in a waterproof area.

  • Plug extension lead (maximum 10 metres) into mains power (power point).

  • The use of double adaptors or power packs is not allowed.

  • Use a surge protector.

Turn power on at the power point and then press the red button on the side of the Jukebox.

The button will light up indicating power to computer is on.  Allow computer to boot up.

Check that the volume control (back left-hand side) is not too high.

The screen will come up in party mode and will play music in random mode until music is selected.

Random Play:
If no songs are selected at any one time, the Jazz Jukebox will automatically continue to play music from the data base of songs.

Song Selection:

Press the category button and then the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons to select the desired category. To select music in that category, use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons.

Music in chosen category can also be selected alphabetically by tune or artist.

Karaoke Function: (Available only if ordered)

Plug in microphones and turn vocal button on (located at rear of machine on the left-hand side). Switch microphones on, turn volume button from between 9 o’clock to 12 o’clock and select songs from the karaoke categories.

IMPORTANT:

WHEN RETURNING THE MICROPHONES TO THEIR HOLDERS(LOCATED ON TOP OF THE JUKEBOX), PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION. FAILURE TO TURN THE MICROPHONES OFF WILL CAUSE THE FEEDBACK TO SHORT OUT THE SPEAKER SYSTEM. IF THIS OCCURS, THE JUKEBOX WILL CEASE OPERATION.

Volume:

Volume control is located on the left-hand side at the back of the Jukebox.

Cancel Current Song:

On the left-hand side at the back of the Jukebox (above the volume control) is a black button – press it to delete/cancel the song currently playing.

Shut down:

The Jukebox can be switched off at any time by pressing the red button below the power inlet (extension cord) however, you must allow the computer to shut down fully before switching power off at power point or removing the extension lead. Ensure that the Jukebox is turned off at the power supply otherwise the lights and fan will continue to operate.

Disassemble Jukebox

Remove the ‘speaker cord’. Pull back on the silver clip and turn to release. Unclip the sides.

Jukebox is to be transported to and from site in an enclosed vehicle, not an open ute.

The hirer is responsible for the Jukebox from the time of Delivery/Pick-up until tested on return.

Cocktail Machine Operating Instructions

Set Up

The Cocktail/Slushie Machine is to be placed on a sturdy table. Do not use a glass top table (machine is 52 kg empty). The Machine is to be kept undercover and in a waterproof area at all times. Use of an extension lead up to 10 metres only. The use of double adaptors or power boards is not allowed.

Switches

(These are the only 2 switches you are to operate)

On / Off                                    Top left-hand button

Compressor / Freezing            The middle button next to the ON/ Off Switch.

The 4 switches at the bottom of the machine are all to be in the UPposition.

To Fill the Machine

  • Slush/Mocktails
Add all the contents of the base mix provided.
Add water to the maximum level.
Do not overfill the machine as when frozen it will back up and go out the back of the bowl.

  • Cocktails
Add all the contents of the base mix provided.
Add your alcohol to the base mix; then top with water to the maximum level.
Do not overfill the machine as when frozen it will back up and go out the back of the bowl.

Turn Off Machine

Turn the On/Off button to OFF when you have finished dispensing drinks or the slush has defrosted.

Please fill bowls with clean water and let it run through the dispensers to ensure any slushie/cocktail mix is flushed out.

Notations

  • Do not add any other liquid to the machine that is not included in our recipes.

  • The mix will take approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours to become slush.

  • When mix reaches the minimumlevel switch you must turn the compressor/freezing switch OFF. This will then turn the freezing mechanism off but you will still be able to dispense slush from the machine.

  • Any mix left at the end of your party can be dispensed into clean containers and frozen for use at a later date.

  • The machine is to be transported in an enclosed vehicle, not an open ute.

The hirer is responsible for the Cocktail/Slushie Machine from the time of Delivery/Pick-up until tested on return.
